Application checklist

When you apply for a savings jar, we'll ask you for standard information such as contact details, date of birth, employment status, salary and so on.

As well as this, you'll need:

your current address and postcode (and up to two previous addresses and postcodes)
a current address and postcode for any joint applicant (and up to two previous addresses and postcodes)
your National Insurance (NI) number if you're applying for an ISA

During your application, you'll be asked to decide or confirm:

  • what you want your plan security code to be - this will be a 4-digit code of your choice
  • what you want your jar name to be (each product is known as a "jar" and has its own jar name; you can either keep the one we'll suggest for you or choose your own).

Customer Identification Number

You and any joint applicant will each be given a unique Customer Identification Number. When you see it, you can note it here - you'll need it later on.
