Brendon Burns - if.comedy Winner 2007

Brendon completed a sell out European tour including gigs in Finland, Galway and Swindon.

  • He hosted the Christmas Special of Comedy Shuffle for the BBC and appeared on Comedy Cuts (ITV) and Transmission (Channel 4)
  • He's been commissioned to write a pilot based on his Edinburgh show for the BBC with Jon Plowman producing (Extras, The Office, League of Gentlemen, Ab Fab etc...)
  • Approached by Transworld Publishing to write a book
  • He is about to embark on the 2nd part of his European tour culminating with a London run and DVD record on the last night in May

Andrew Lawrence - if.comedy Best Comedy Show Nominee 2007

Since his second if.comedy nomination, Andrew has been busy with a number of projects.

  • He performed at the Garrick Theatre for the if.comedy Showcase
  • Recorded an 8-part radio series entitled 'Andrew Lawrence's Cultural Radio Odyssey' for the Weekender Show on BBC Radio 2
  • Returned to the role of Marco for the BBC3 television series, Ideal
  • Currently developing a new television project with Tiger Aspect
  • He will be performing his Edinburgh show for the last time, 'Social Leprosy for Beginners and Improvers' at the Soho Theatre 5th-9th February.

Andrew will return to the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2008 with a brand new show.

Andrew Maxwell - if.comedy Best Comedy Show Nominee 2007

Since being nominated Andrew has been promoting the recent release of his DVD:

  • Andrew Maxwell Live in Dublin, which is selling like hot cakes and is currently number 21 in the Irish DVD charts
  • He's also discussing and developing several ideas for television.

Pappy's Fun Club - if.comedy Best Comedy Show Nominee 2007

Since the nomination Pappy's Fun Club have...

  • Performed in universities, comedy clubs and festivals up and down the country
  • Signed with Karushi management
  • Made regular appearances on Radio One's Switch with Annie Mac
  • Been heard on Radio 4's 28 Acts in 28 Minutes
  • Appeared on BBC3's Comedy Shuffle
  • Appeared on Sky Poker Challenge.

In 2008 they will be...

  • Writing and performing in a broadcast pilot for Radio 4 (produced by Colin Anderson)
  • Writing and performing in a Comedy Lab for Channel 4 (produced by Ash Atalla)
  • Appearing at Melbourne International Comedy Festival
  • Continuing to gig and tour throughout the year
  • Writing a brand new Edinburgh show.

Individually...

  • Matthew has continued to write and perform his own stand up in clubs across the country
  • Tom has continued as a part time Drama teacher. He regularly appears at castings along with his more successful cohort 'Ben'
  • Ben has starred in a series of adverts and has kept physically fit by regularly doing a capoeira
  • Brendan continues to work as an IT consultant for a large accounting firm.
