Brief history
Since launching in 2000, Intelligent Finance has helped to re-define consumer banking by raising customer expectations and offering a fairer deal to people over the UK.
In that time, Intelligent Finance has quickly become one of the biggest names in direct banking and is the authority on offset mortgages in the UK.
The bank operates out of two facilities in Scotland – one in Livingston, West Lothian and the other in Rosyth, Fife - and employs over 1,200 colleagues. The bank offers one of the most comprehensive offset products in the UK, as well as a range of standalone mortgages, credit cards and personal loans.
Intelligent Finance is a division of Bank of Scotland plc, which is now part of the HBOS Group, and this provides all the support you would expect from being part of a large organisation including best practice banking initiatives, economies of scale where applicable and true career progression for colleagues.
HBOS plc publishes annual mortgage lending figures for the Group as a whole as part of its reporting to the City. Under Financial Reporting guidelines, business figures for individual areas within the Group are not published.
Intelligent Finance has won over 50 consumer and trade awards since launching in 2000 and 96% of the bank's customers rate themselves as satisfied or very satisfied with the service they are receiving from Intelligent Finance.
